Honda’s completely-redesigned BF40 and BF50 EFI four-strokeoutboard engines have arrived!

This high-torque, three-cylinder engine features smooth and quiet performance and very low hydrocarbon emissions.Standard electric start and a digital CDI ignition system provides instant and reliable starting in hot or cold weather. A high-capacity intake silencer substantially reduces intake noise while a resin cylinder head cover takes care of high-frequency noise.  

The BF50 is available in standard, long and extra long shaft lengths allowing for a wider range of boat applications. Honda’s industry leading integrated warning system protects the engine from severe damage due to low oil, over-revving and over-heating situations. Standard on all tiller handle models is Honda’s exclusive multi-function tiller handle, featuring the indicator lamp, throttle control, power trim & tilt switch and gear shift lever all on the tiller handle. The standard freshwater flush port allows easy flushing of the engine to clear debris and salt water, extending the life of the outboard.
